Civic Clubs and Organizations
Volunteerism is a way of bringing people together and a multitude of opportunities are available through clubs and organizations in Clinton County.
For those interested in mentoring a child, preparing young mothers for parenthood, or assisting a family through difficult times, there are organizations like Big BrotherslBig Sisters, Clinton County H.A.B.I.T. and 4-H, Clinton County Family Resource Center and Relief After Violent Encounter.
Groups and organizations like the Clinton County Senior Center, Tri-County Office on Aging and the Senior Centers in DeWitt and Bath provide programs for the elderly. Some of the programs and activities they provide include nutritional meals, educational and recreational activities and companionship.
People with common interests have groups available to them like the Clinton County Arts Council, the Genealogist Society, St. Johns Camera Club or the Mint County Garden Club.
The American Legion, Eastern Star, Jaycees, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Exchange, Rotary, Lions, Lioness and Veterans of Foreign Wars are represented throughout the county. Many of these groups meet weekly or monthly for fellowship and special interest programs. Through individual and community fundraisers, these groups give thousands of dollars to non-profits and community projects.
